THE CLUB
Location
Our Home at Linden House
Our club is proudly based at Linden House, a Grade II listed merchant’s house overlooking the Thames at Hammersmith. We share this historic riverside home with the London Corinthian Sailing Club, creating a vibrant community of water sports enthusiasts.
Designed for Rowers
Our stretch of the river offers an exceptional training environment—scenic, accessible, and ideally suited to both steady‑state miles and technical work. It’s a location that supports rowers of every level, from recreational to competitive.
Our pontoon sits safely away from the main navigation channel, making outings smooth and stress‑free. A large, paved area beside the river wall provides ample space for trestling and preparing boats before and after sessions.
Facilities That Support Performance
Inside Linden House, members enjoy a private bar serving “the best cooked breakfasts on the Tideway” on Saturdays and Sundays - an ideal way to refuel after a morning on the water.
Downstairs, our gym is equipped with weight‑training facilities and eight ergometers, offering everything needed for strength and conditioning.
A Modern, High‑Quality Fleet
We maintain an excellent boat‑to‑member ratio, ensuring easy access to equipment. The fleet is predominantly modern Hudson boats, we also field a strong selection of Fluid boats, giving members a high‑performance range across all boat classes.
Visiting crews
We’re always happy to support visiting UK and overseas crews where we can—whether you need a place to boat from for the Head races or are looking to hire equipment when hulls are available. To help us plan, please arrange your visit in advance by emailing our Captain at captain@sonsrowing.com
Boat‑hire fees are typically £10 per seat.
For international crews, we may also be able to provide a cox if required, though this depends on volunteer availability at the time.
