Barnes and Mortlake Regatta 2013

With the Plovdiv training camp behind them and Henley qualification in prospect, it was great for the men's first eight to win at Barnes and Mortlake. In a close finish they showed some grit to hold off a very capable Medway crew. Local Tideway rivals Cygnet were reasurringly far back in third. The result secured the Challenge Cup for the most senior eight winning on the day, and an impressive looking trophy. In other racing, Emile Farley and Rich Darby reached the final only to go out to a Tideway Scullers double.
